What is a Page Layout?

A Page Layout is the arranging of text and graphics on a page, the components that form that page. Container, Header, Logo, Search Box, Navigation, Content, Footer, and White space

A Webpage is form by multiple components. These components are the following.

Container
  • The container is a block that holds all the content of the webpage.
Header
  • The header a block that holds identity data
Logo
  • The logo is a graphic representation or symbol of a company name or webpage title.
Search
  • The search box is a box for entering text to look up on that page or on the Internet.
Navigation
  • Navigation is how users will move around from page to page within a website.
Content
  • The content is the main component of your web page. It's where all the information of the page is placed.
Footer
  • The footer is data placed at the end of the page for information purposes.
Whitespace
  • Empty space. Not always white
