What do I like to do in my spare time? When I'm not constrained by the confines of school or work I like to do a variety of different things. For instance, I love building and working on computers. There are few things that are more satisfying then fixing a problem with a computer that you have been working on for hours and hours. I absolutely love everything about it. I think that problem solving is the biggest reason that I have garnered a love for computers. I have never really been into playing video games or anything of that matter. My love for computers really only applies to repairing and building.
Another thing I couldn't live without is music. Music drives me. There in my opinion there is nothing better then getting lost in a new song. I love it. I have been to 22 Dave Matthews Band Concerts alone, but I have been to over 30 concerts in total. Below I have listed a few of my favorite artists, but those are only a few. My love for music extends across many, many genres. Liking so many different kinds of music allows me the flexibility to listen to song that really fits my mood.
The last thing that I will tell you about is my love of writing. I find words to be so powerful. With words you can cause whom ever reads your writings to feel a variety of different emotions. It really is an outstanding thing. I mostly write poetry, as I find it a great way to express the way that I am feeling at any point and time. I find myself randomly getting ideas for new poems randomly through out the day. When this happens I will write it down on any piece of paper, receipt paper, napkin, or pretty much anything that I can find in the immediate area. Though most of the stuff I write is extremely depressing, it doesn't always mean that my feelings match the words that I write.
Now you know a little more about me. Call it a step inside my mind. Now, seeing as though I told you a little about my love for writing poetry, I feel like it is only fitting to leave you with an example of my writings.
I bring myself to a moonless place
Where I am able to think free
Chains unbound
Though the darkness is overwhelming
At times too much
I press on
Pain is inevitable
No avoiding the curse
But the outcome is worth the evil that becomes
I see clearer here
People's faces lacking the false front
Seeing them as who they are
Not as whom they profess to be
Because when happiness does strike me
A superficial fog rolls in
Presenting only beauty
My mind becomes feeble
So I embrace this foul weather
All the broken hearts
Because it amounts to something extraordinary
That can only be seen in the dark
