Old(ish) New England Barn For Sale

View of the front of the barn.
This is a 'balloon frame' barn (not post and beam) of an unknown age. The house is almost 150 years old but the barn was added (actually moved to its present location) sometime after the house was built. Virtually all the lumber is rough cut and true dimension, that is, a 2x4 really is 2 inches by 4 inches.

I am in the process of emptying out the contents. When done, if there are no interested parties by then, I will begin dismantling the barn myself and may offer the lumber for sale.

I'll consider any offers for the complete removal of the barn. I of course reserve the right to accept or reject any offer made.

As part of the sales agreement, the barn and all scrap materials associated with its removal must be totally removed from the lot. Removal can start anytime after I have emptied the barn of its contents and the barn must be gone by mid-summer to make way for new construction.

In addition to the purchase price I will require a deposit of $500 to cover the cost of clean-up should the purchaser fail to remove all materials from the lot. The deposit will be cheerfully refunded when the removal is complete.
