Our Team

Tom Carr is the founder and CEO of our company. He has been with the company ever since he founded it in Scituate, MA in 2001. He has incredible passion for music and wants to provide others with opportunities to learn to play an instrument. Our management team has even started a small time band of their own and Carr is the guitarist.

Jake Syversen has served as the Regional Store Manager of Carr’s Guitars since the upbringing of the company. He assisted Carr in the forming of the company and has been an important part here ever since. He can play the clarinet, saxophone, flute, drums and can also conduct an orchestra. Syversen is Carr’s wing man in the band and plays the drums.

Cody Fischer has the President of Carr’s Guitars since 2005. Fischer worked for a competing company, and was hired to work here after they ran out of business. Fischer loves attending concerts, and is the lead vocals for the band. Fischer occasionally teaches lessons at the store and has been featured on tours for the Steve Miller Band, Allman Brothers and Aerosmith.

Richard Sterndale is our lesson expert and has been with us for the last three years. He is a very talented musician who can play the guitar, keyboard and the bass. He books lessons to all of our stores at least once a month and teaches other musicians how to play the instruments. Richard is a professional musician, who has performed on tour with bands such as, Blink 182, Third Eye Blind and Sum 41.
