Guidelines for Images
Image Load Time - Webpage and web media should not exceed 60KB.
Reuse Images - This will allows the images to be stored in the visitors cache. It will allow the pages to be loaded faster.
Condidering the size/quality Issue - If the file is high quaility it will also be large in file size. So be aware of what your using so you do not slow down you webpage.
Use Appropriate Resolution - Web browsers use a low resolution to view pictures. If your picture is a high resolution than even if the browser doesn't show it it will still be taking up that space.
Specific Dimensions - Keep the hight and weight attributes at what the images is. If you mess with these, than the picture will not fit in the page correctly.
Be Aware of Brightness and Contrast - Macintish and Windows operating systems will view the pictures at a different contrast and brightness. Although you can't control this be aware that pictures will look different of different computers.
