The theme of my web presentation project is going to be a personal page based on one of my hobbies, running. This web presentation will be an informative page about a sports club. The page will be on the Jersey Shore Running Club. This is a running club that was started about twenty years ago by a group of runners that wanted to promote running as a fun activity to do with friends and neighbors around the area. This web project will allow readers to see what upcoming road races they will be holding in the Jersey Shore Area, the history and records in the club, pictures of races,running tips, and club gear.
The audience the webpage will be intended for is other runners that are located around the Jersey Shore. It can also be used as an informative site for other runners who just enjoy the hobby like me. The estimated completion of my web page will be May 5, 2009. This website will include some pictures on the main part of the web page and on the informative parts.There will be a seperate section for photo's of the club to show the group and some of the running courses. The length of the project probably will include one main page and about 6 other links that will branch off to give the description of the club, the races coming up, and the photos. This page will need maintenance about every 6 months to update the calander of races that will be coming up. This page doesn't require money. The objective of the page is to inform runners of a club they can join in the area to have access to road races. Also, they can find other runners to train with for marathons,etc. I will have to do some research to find out when upcoming races will be coming. Also, I will have to look up the past records that were set by past runners in the club.This page will contain about 6 links that will branch out of the main page.
The navigational scheme that will be used is the hierarchical scheme. This scheme will be the best because the main page will be used to describe the club and then the other hyperlinks will be used for the calander of events and the history/photos.
