About Me
Hi! My name is Sarah Benner. I am a freshman here at UNH. I started as a
genetics major, but I recently changed my major to computer science with
the option in bioinformatics. With this major, I will be able to work with
computers, but I will also be able to study science.
My family and I have been taking vacations ever since I can remember. It
has become something that I love to do. It is not only fun, but it is also
educational. Within the last few years, I have taken some vacations that
have been very memorable.
During my sophomore year of high school, a trip to Ireland was available.
I went on this trip along with about twenty other students. We toured
almost all of Ireland, excluding the northern part. We stayed in youth
hostels in each city we visited. We focused our trip on prehistoric sites
and visited places such as ancient passage tombs, Newgrange, Knowth, and
Dowth.
During April of my senior year, my mom and I went on a trip to China with
a group of students studying the Chinese language. We were there for eight
days and went to three different cities. My speaking improved a lot
because I had to speak Chinese in order to communicate. It was definitely
hectic because we were only there a short amount of time, but it was an
amazing experience.
Right after I graduated, my aunt and I went to London together. We rented
an apartment for one week and traveled around the city. We also took a
day
trip to visit Stonehenge. This part of my trip reminded me a lot of my
trip to Ireland. London is a beautiful city, and I would love to have the
opportunity to go back.
