A native of Belchertown, I have grown up in the not-so-shetlered forest of Western Massachusetts. The town is rapidly growing, yet there remain large swaths of wood and farmland, including horse farms and plenty of cows. I have lived there all of my life with my father and sister, Jessica. My mother lives one town over, having left near ten years ago. We still see her, although college has taken me awy from them all for extended periods of time. Jess is three years younger than my and a flutist and continually makes me proud in all taht she does and in the great young woman that she is evolving into. My father loves to worry, but also loves us and has never been anything but supportive. My mother loves her shop, Belchertown Bridals, and of course loves us too. She has run her business by herself for over twenty years, through the rough times and never being completely discouraged from doing what makes her happy.
I am a saxophone music education major and cannot imagine my life without music. It is the greater language that comes without words and is brimming with emotion and expression found in no other medium. Nine years ago I became a band memebr and have never regretted that decision. Writing (when I have pen and paper), both poetry and prose, and photography (when I have not lost my camera) are pastimes I love and often miss dearly thanks to my very busy schedule. One thing I can enjoy despite however long my to do list is would be the rain and snow, and how the sun filters through the trees.
