Supplements

Supplements are the extra umph your body needs to preform particular gains or losses you're looking for. The main supplements used by the ordinary trainer is going to probably be a source of whey protein powder (or bars), L-Glutamine, Creatine (Creatine Monohydrate or a mixture of Tri Creatines). Lets discuss a common myth, many people think there is a magic supplement that will produce enormous gains with least amount of work involved. This is absoultly FALSE! No supplement can replace hard work, dedication and motovation, before you consider supplements make sure you have those three aspects.

When desiding which supplement is right for you think about three things, (1) your body type and current fitness status (are you a little overweight? very skinny? etc..), (2) what you want to achieve (lean mass, weight loss, pure mass, etc..), (3) your exercise program (you do a lot of cardio? do you lift heavy? circut training?). These three criteria will help deside what supplements are good for you in relation to your goals.

Now we've decided which criteria you fit into, now it is time to decide on the right supplements...

If you're a little overweight looking to lose fat, I would suggest not using any supplements untill you have reached your weight goal, often supplements like protein or creatine have additional calories you may not want. I would recommend doing as much cardio as possible with a high intensity circut training program.
If you are looking to gain lean mass and lift heavy I would recommend some type of whey protein or isolate protein powder along with creatine.

Supplements help you achieve the goals you want, when choosing the right supplement besure to read up on it, check to assure there are no side effects, supplements can as well hurt you if they're taken incorrectly. Be smart and don't abuse yourself, you only get one chance at life!
