Prosthetics are an amazing form of technology that enables people who lost a certain body part whether it be the leg or an arm to be able to regain function of that body part through mechanical technology used for medical purposes. Great strides have been made to improve the function of these prosthetics to make it easier for the patient to use for every day things. Many people who need prosthetics from an amputated limb are either older adults with some sort of disease that disabled them such as diabetes, work related accidents, or they were at war and lost a limb in battle. Those people who need prosthetics have lost an extremely important body part and without it they can't function properly in society whether it be something like work, or something as easy as driving a car.
