Randall's hockey database was founded by Ryan Randall, a hockey player at the University of New Hampshire. When he was in high school in 2008 he did not like having to have multiple links open to access stats, scores and standings etc. of different hockey leagues. His vision was one single place where all leagues were connected by one website so the information was accessible from one click on the mouse. When first starting out the information was all free in order to attract all customers. The immense amopunt of traffic hitting his website immediately caught the attention of advertising companies, including hockey equiptment stores. In 2011 he partnered up with Pure Hockey a major distributor of hockey goods and now not only does the site hold hockey information, but ways to buy hockey gear as well.
