How to create a Web Page

Download the pagetemplate.html file from Blackboard to my desktop.

Right mouse click on the file and open with Notepad++.
Save As a new filename with the .html extension.

Enter the element tags and text content for each page.

• All tags are in lower case and enclosed in "< >"
• The main page section tags are; html, head, body.
• The main text blocks tags are heading, paragraph, blockquotes, lists.

Save the page every time you make a change or add data.

Steps to veiw the page

1. Open the in a browser window to view the content and layout.
2. Make edits and changes in Notepad++ and save again.

Upload the html file to the cisunix.unh.edu server and store in the appropriate folder.

View the page on the web using this URL: "http://pubpages.unh.edu/~rwp32"
