History: The Durham House of Pets was created in 2000 by three UNH students. Freshman at the time, the entrepreneurs felt that coffee shops and pizza parlors dominated Durham's campus, and wanted to give the community something different.They contacted Mario Lopez, host of the hit television show, "Pet Star", and received an angel investment of $2 million to boost their business. Durham House of Pets set up shop in downtown Durham, next to Franz's Food. Now in it's 12th year of operation, the House of Pets provides a variety of products to cater to the needs of dog, cat, and prarie dog owners.
Why Us? Our staff of five is fully capable of servicing all your pet needs. We listen to our customers, have passion for animals, and work hard at managing our business. As Durham's only pet store, we have gained a reputation for quality care and excellent customer service in the community.
