Strip charge collection

Run 265 is a collimated Co57 with 1usec strip timing and cathode trigger. The source is moved over an 11X11 grid with .15mm steps. The center of the grid is the cell at pixel row 5 strip 4. These plots show pulse height histograms accumulated over the entire area.

The cathode distribution shows some events at pedestal and some events higher than the peak. Events at pedestal must be noise triggers since the system should be triggering only on cathode events above threshold. Events above the peak are assummed to be high energy backgound events.

Post processing removed the events with cathode above and below the peak. The red traces show the effect on the pixel and strip pulse height distributions.

These images show the number of events with pixel above threshold and the number of events with strip above threshold. The thresholds were picked to show pixel events with full pulse height and strip events with increased pulse height.

The left panel uses only data from pixel 5 and strip 4. The right panel shows events with any pixel or strip above the set threshold.

These plots show that events near the edges of the unit cell have some decrease in pixel height and a corresponding increase in strip height. The change in pixel height is relatively small (less than 20%).
