Killed
on the road between Gereshk and Baghran in northern Helmand. The members of the
Zia-ul-Haq family were returning home to Baghran from Kabul. They were riding
in a chauffeured car when all of a sudden a NATO helicopter fired at the moving
vehicle. The result was: Zia and his wife and driver killed, a 3-months old
baby girl survived (as an orphan). Zia was the son of a famous commander, Haji
Abdul Wahid. We know about this because of the independent reporting of
