on April 27, 2009

in Basharan, 9 kms north of Lashkar Gah, Helmand Province. A fire fight broke out between resistance fighters and the foreign occupiers. The foreign forces employed ground and air attacks. Mirza Mohammad Khan, 70, was wounded and brought to a hospital in Lashkar Gah. There he told the Afghan Islamic Press what happened. Some projectile struck the family’s home killing his two brothers and wounding three women. A resident confirmed the account. The three men were sons of a prominent local tribal leader, Abdol Aziz Khan.

The Afghan military proclaimed 20 Taliban were killed and the NATO forces stone-walled, saying nothing. Not a single report was issued by the western news media (apparently under the strengthened news management of the Obama administration).
