A man killed, two others wounded

at 9 P.M. on May 5, 2009

in Kabul city. Four U.S contractors employed by Xe or Paravant LLC, the successor company to Blackwater Worldwide, who had been drinking were involved in a vehicle accident. All four were U.S. military veterans.  While stopped at the accident site, the contractors felt threatened by an approaching vehicle and fired at it. Two Afghans in the car was wounded and the other killed.
