In memory of and sympathy for
A local farmer killed
His brother wounded
on Tuesday evening, March 10, 2009
in the Spinni Kotta area of Lashkar Gah, Helmand Province. Foreign occupation forces fired a mortar, killing a local civilian. The independent reporter, Zainullah Stanakzai, of Pahjowk Afghan News reported on March 11th ,
The relatives of the deceased and the area people took to the streets early this morning, chanting slogans against US forces and the government. A protester Haji Ahmad Jan called for a revolt against the government if it did not take action against the killers of innocent men. He said the man killed in the raid was a farmer and his brother sustained serious injuries…he said the attack landed the family in deep trouble as there is no one else to feed them. Locals say the existence of foreign troops in the country is the main reason behind their agony.
