memory of and sympathy for 8 civilians killed (including women & children) At least 2 others wounded
at
10:00 A.M. on Sunday, April 19, 2009 in the village of Zarii
Noor near to Wana, South Waziristan, Pakistan. Two CIA drones were hovering
over the area for hours during the night before. At 10:00 A.M., one fired
missiles into the homes of Daim Khan Wazir and Wali Khan Wazir, two brothers of
the Ahmadzai Wazir tribe, leaving 8 civilians dead and at least 2 others
wounded. The missiles apparently set off a fire which led to big explosions
from explosives-laden vehicles. The targeted houses were located in an area of
Taliban commander, Mullah Faqir Mohammad. Killed
