in the Kalakhel district of Andar in Ghazni Province. A joint NATO-Afghan operation raid led to the death of six “militants” and arrest of another eleven locals. The arrested were all locals which led to a protest on Monday by more than 20 tribal elders. Other sources reported that all those killed and arrested were civilians. The U.S-Afghan militaries regularly proclaim that those they kill are “militants.”
