sympathy with 6 abducted school students An injured female member of Parliament
March 15/16, 2009 In Baraki Barak district of Logar Province. In an overnight raid, U.S occupation forces broke into a home and arrested six school students. Local officials were adamant that the six arrested were local civilians. The night before (March 14/15) U.S forces had abducted a local religious scholar, Mohammad Esmail, in Pol-e-Alam, capital of Logar. On Monday, March 16th, hundreds protested the abductions. U.S-led troops opened fire at the demonstrators who were marching towards Pol-e-Alam. The fire hit Dr. Shakeela Hashimi, a local member of the Afghan Parliament’s lower house. Armed with guns, raising white flags, chanting slogans against American soldiers, the protesters blocked the Kabul-Gardez highway. Abducted and injured by U.S occupation soldiers
