the Iman Sahib district
of Kunduz Province. Helicopter-born NATO forces attacked the home of
Abdul
Manan, mayor of Iman Sahib district. He waws asleep when the raiding
party blew
open the compound gates. He had no contact with the troops. But the
NATO-led
troops killed two of his personal guards, a cook, and a driver and
another man,
all civilians. Later Sunday, 300 people gathered in Iman Sahib to
protest the
deadly raid. As usual, NATO said that “five militants’ had been killed.
Foreign
soldiers also abducted two relatives of the mayor according to the
governor of
Kunduz.
