On May 24, 2009
in
the Gilan area of Ghazni Province. Foreign occupation and Afghan National Army
forces carried out a military operation for four days in the Qarabagh district
of Ghazni. The actions included ground and air strikes. The village of Paryan
in the Gilan region was hit in a night-time air strike, allegedly killing “11
Taliban” according to Afghan General Baz Sherzoi. The Taliban claimed those
killed were civilians. This is a very confused situation, hence the entry of
0-11 civilians killed.
