in the center of Kandahar city. A Canadian occupation force vehicle patrol was hit by small-arms fire and RPGs. A half-hour later the same convoy was hit by small-arms fire. The Canadians fired back, killing two Afghan men, including a civilian homeless man. The chief of Kandahar’s police was quoted as saying the Canadians as “perhaps mistaking them as the enemy.”
