killed in October 2006


by a U.S. bomb dropped during a “precision” strike on Musa Qala, Helmand Province. As British troops continued to occupy Musa Qala, heavy close air support was provided. One of the many victims of such air bombardment was Hamida, who was severely injured and brought by his father to the Emergency Italia hospital in Lashkar Gah on Monday, October 16, 2006. We would not know about this were it not for the independent reporting of Enrico Piovesana of Italy’s Peace Reporter.
