 Women killed

Two children wounded

at 8 A.M. on  April 22, 2008

in the Sinzali and Badpakh areas next to eastern Sarobi district of Kabul Province. An hour long bombardment by US/NATO aircraft killed one woman, injured two children and slaughtered a large number of animals in the east of Laghman Province, according to a tribal elder, Muhammad Wazir, of the Badpakh area. Another resident said, “here is no Al-Qaeda and no Taliban militants hiding in the area and we don’t know why foreigners bomb the area.” As usual, the US and Afghan military propaganda offices denied knowing anything about the bombing and hence, the non-independent western press has been completely silent on this attack. We know about this incident due to the independent reporting of Pajhwok Afghan News’ reporter Abdul Moeed Hashini.
