at a NATO checkpoint in Kunar Province. A car approached a NATO road block. NATO occupation forces claim to have fired warning shots. The passenger vehicle was hit by NATO ground fire, killing three occupants (aged 14-16) according to residents. Two other civilians were injured by NATO ground fire. No doubt many other such incidents take place frequently, but go unreported. The Agence France Press and Xinhua news wire services reported this incident (the Associated Press was as usual silent).
