In memory of and sympathy for

Said Alam, a school teacher

Two other civilians (injured)

killed in the evening of Friday, June 30, 2006

in Khani Banda in the Watapur district of Kunar Province. Insurgents fired upon a U.S. occupation base. U.S. forces fired back. The U.S. ground fire severely injured the school teacher and two other civilians, but no insurgents. Said Alam, the teacher, was brought to the district hospital where he died, according to Pajhwok Afghan News. The incident goes unreported by the U.S. corporate mainstream press. Fighting was also going on in the Kamdesh area of Nuristan Province with U.S. occupation forces reporting having killed “militants” (which often means civilians in the Orwellian language/reporting of the U.S. military).
