In memory of
Nuhmandís wife and their young son
killed at 9:15 PM on June 25, 2004
in the village of Darre-i-Pech (Darra-i-Pech), 35 kms west of Asadabad in Kunar Province. U.S. occupation forces fired artillery rounds into the village. One hit the home of Nuhmand, injuring him and killing his wife and young son. Even the governor of Kunar, Sayed Fazel Akbar, admitted the killings. These killings represent just one amongst hundreds of examples of use of excessive force by the U.S occupation forces.
