In memory of and sympathy for
Muhammad Dawood, killed
Mrs. Dawood, wounded
about 3 AM, July 9, 2008
in Zarghun Shah village of Mohammad Agha District of Logar Province. US/NATO occupation troops blasted their way into the Dawoods’ home at 3 AM. The assault killed Muhammad Dawood and wounded his wife. The raiding party abducted (to a fate unknown) Dawood’s wife, brother and others to the large occupation base in Khost, Camp Salerno. The district chief of Zarghun Shah called Dawood an innocent villager. Other residents said he was a former government employee, now retired. Villager Haji Hakimullah said villagers planned to carry the dead body in protest to the governor’s house in Pul-i-Alam. We know about this attack because of the independent reporting of Pajhwok Afghan News; the Associated Press ignored the incident (presumably because the dead resulted from U.S. action and the AP has shown itself to be uninterested in such bodies).
