Molvi Ahmad, brother of Noor Mohammad

killed in the early morning of July 18, 2002

in the village of Pirakhel in the Khogiani distruict of Nangarhar Province, about 40 kms southwest of Jalalabad. U.S warplanes bombed the village killing Ahmad and injuring others. Ahmad will killed when a U.S. “precision” bomb struck the home of his brother, Noor Mohammad (who had been the administrator of Dara Noor district under the Taliban). Afghan troops had surrounded the village of Pirakhel during the night and in the early morning U.S. warplanes bombed it.
