In memory of
Mohammed Naem’s wife and 2 children (aged 6 and 7)
died on November 29, 2001 in a neighborhood of Kandahar city which was being ferociously bombed by U.S war planes. The U.S attacks killed Mohammed Naeem’s wife and two young children (aged 6 and 7). After burying his family, Naeem left for Chaman. As he unloaded his meager belongings from a donkey cart and put them into a tent in a camp run by the UNHCR, he said, “I lost my wife and children.
