Mohammed Khan’s  5  children

died at 1 AM on November 27, 2001

in a hamlet between Kandahar city and the airport. U.S warplanes attacked Khan’s aging Soviet jeep, destroying 5 homes in the hamlet. The “precision” strike killed 5 of Khan’s children as well as 4 of his neighbor and 4 other civilians. Mohammed Khan was injured in his arms and legs and sought treatment in the border town of Chaman. Khan’s wife lost consciousness in the U.S attack. Khan said, “it was only because of my jeep. It is for my own personal use and to transport villagers to the city.” A total of 15 villagers were killed.
