Died on October 28, 2001

In the Macroyan housing complex in north-central Kabul. Akram Kharimi, 70, was a film maker and former actor, married to Maria. On October 28th, the couple and their 5 children were at home when Macroyan was hit by U.S bombs. Panic broke out. Kharimi helped two pregnant women reach a hospital. When he returned, he discovered Maria had been killed. He left for Pakistan with his 5 children.
