died around October 10, 2001

in a neighborhood of Mazar-i-Sharif in Balkh Province. U.S “precision” bombing of Taliban facilities hit nearly civilian residences. Satar, 25, watched as three children died in the intense heat of the exploding bombs. One was his one-year-old child. Satar and his family then fled Mazar.
