died on October 31, 2001

in and around Ishaq Suleiman village northwest of Herat. The village was situated about 1.6 kms from the Taliban’s 4th Armoured Brigade Headquarters. U.S war planes dropped many cluster bombs in the area, many landing near homes, killing and injuring civilians. Others died a few days later when BLU-109 bomblets exploded.
