Jamal, 17, lost his father in the early bombing of Kabul and fled to the Kili Faizo refugee camp near the Chaman border crossing. Shirhan, 20, lost his father in the U.S. bombing of Jalalabad. He also fled to Kili Faizo with his mother and three younger brothers. Shirhan said to Pepe Escobar (Asia Times), “the Taliban never disturbed us. We support them.” The UNHCR-run Kili Faizo camp was receiving about 100 Afghan families a day during October-November.
