Haji Ghani, 60, and his whole family

died in early morning of October 11, 2001

in the deadly U.S attack upon the farming village of Karam, 40 kms west of Jalalabad. Haji Ghani, 60, was the oldest victim in this bombing attack which killed an estimated 160 villagers. Ghani’s whole family died, except his youngest son, Surgul, who was away.
