Civilian man injured
in the morning of February 16, 2008
on a road in Kandahar city. A Canadian occupation soldier riding in a convoy fired a shot at a car that “was perceived as a threat.” Canadian occupation forces inspected the area finding no one wounded. But a bystander claiming to have been injured was brought to a local hospital for treatment. The night before, a 17-year-old Afghan boy was shot dead in Kandahar in similar circumstances by the Afghan National Police in Kandahar. And a week ago, Canadian occupation forces had fired at a passenger vehicle, wounding a passenger.
