An unarmed male executed

on October 19, 2008

near Lashkar Gah, Helmand Province. An officer of the Canadian occupation forces’ Operational Mentor and Liason Team, Captain Robert Semrau was charged with second-degree murder – shooting with intent to kill - in relation to the “death of a presumed insurgent” in Helmand Province. On October 19, the Canadian team of some 30 soldiers along with satrap Afghan soldiers engaged in a firefight with the Taliban. In the fray, Semrau shot and killed an unarmed male.
