In memory of
An old woman Four children 6 others
in early June 2006 Killed in another U.S. “precision” attack when U.S. ground forces shelled the village of Pir Jawati (Pir Javad) in the Char Chine district of Uruzgan. Eleven civilians were killed as they were preparing to leave their village, according to a shopkeeper, Mirwais, in Char Chine according to a report filed by Carlotta Gall of the New York Times (6/10/06). Such type of killing civilians is increasing but goes largely unreported as it occurs in remote areas where the U.S. military can completely censor news and/or spin its own “story.” Died as U.S. forces fired into civilian-rich area
