An injured girl who later died
died on June 20, 2006
A U.S. occupation force convoy hit an IED near the village of Matin, Pech district of Kunar, killing two U.S. soldiers. U.S. occupation forces started firing and two girls were injured according to local villagers. Predictably, the U.S. propaganda spokesperson in Kabul, Lt. Tamara Lawrence, said that the girls had been wounded by the IED explosion. One of the girls died from her wounds on June 20, 2006.
