in Ghazni city, Province of Ghazni. A NATO convoy opened fire upon a civilian Toyota Corolla as it was passing nearby. The police chief of Ghazni, Abdul Ghafar Safi, said an 8-yr-old girl was wounded. Staff in the Ghazni hospital said she was hit in the shoulder. A resident of Ghazni told a reporter of Pajhwok Afghan News, “we are afraid when we see a vehicle of foreign troops crossing the area or approaching our cars. We are not safe in our own country.” The same day, a local district policeman’s car was fired upon by trigger-happy NATO forces, killing his bodyguard and injuring him.
