at ~7 A.M. on October 6, 2007

on a road near Korbagh in the Manogi District of Kunar Province. A pickup van was hit by fire from U.S. occupation forces, killing 2 and wounding 3 civilians. The same day, in response a large protest of 3,000 erupted blocking the Asadabad-Jalalabad road in the Sawkai area. Demonstrators chanted slogans against foreign occupation troops calling for their withdrawal and the local governor. Gul Rahim, 40, resident of the area said 22-30 citizens have died over the last two months in exchanges between occupiers and resistance fighters.
