Not being able to extricate themselves, they called-in close air support. The predictable result was eight more dead Afghan civilians. As usual, the NATO command promulgated (the excuse) that the “insurgents” had used civilians as “human shields.” Are “insurgents” supposed to stand on a ridge and fire an RPG at an Apache attack helicopter?
