8 civilians (incl. a woman and child)
in the night of May 8/9, 2005
in a village in the Alishing district, northwest of Jalalabad in Laghman Province. U.S A-10 Warthog attack aircraft bombed and killed 8 civilians, injuring another 10. Gul Khan, a resident, said that women and children were also killed. U.S. forces were allegedly pursuing a group of enemy fighters. The U.S. mainstream corporate press only mentioned that two U.S. Marines had died earlier as well as “23 militants” with no mention, predictably, of civilians killed.
