in the Ali Shing district of eastern Laghman Province. An Afghan Interior Ministry spokesman told Agence France–Presse that five civilians were killed after a roadside bomb exploded but missed a U.S. military convoy. U.S.-Afghan soldiers started shooting wildly. One of the five civilians killed was a woman. In typical fashion, a U.S. Lieutenant Colonel in Kabul, Jerry O’Hara, said, “we have no such report.” The obedient U.S. corporate press never mentioned the incident.
