killed on Friday night, October 29, 2004

in the village of Mulki Khail (also called Lashaki and Maki Khail), 45 kms west of Jalalabad, Nangarhar Province. U.S. troops arrived in the night aboard three helicopters to raid three homes in the village. A firefight broke out. Five civilians died and the U.S. occupation forces arrested and abducted 11 others, according to the deputy police chief. An Afghan man, Mohammad Rais Khan, was shot dead in similar circumstances by U.S. forces in Lakan village, Khost Province, in September 2004 (information filed by Reuters 10/30/2004 and not the pro-U.S. Associated Press).
