4 abducted men

during midnight of October 12/13, 2007

in the village of Kodu located 20 kms south of Asadabad in Kunar Province. U.S-led occupation forces burst into a home. Char Gul said, “they tied up and took two of my sons with them. They went through our books, spread them on the floor. They tore (up)…a holy Koran.” An AFP reporter saw the torn pages of the Koran. Four persons were abducted to a fate unknown (the Bagram gulag?). An elder, Haji Mumtaz, said the raid lasted until early morning. On Saturday, a large demonstration blocked a road in the province protesting the U.S. raid.
