In memory of and sympathy for
Yousaf Khan Wazir, owner of bombed home
At least a dozen civilians wounded
at 5:30 A.M. on September 12, 2008
in a non-operational school house in the village of Tol Khel outside Miran Shah in North Waziristan. A U.S. drone fired a missile at two buildings. In one, 3 women and 2 children were killed and in the other 7 “militants” belonging to the old Al-Badr militant group (involved in the Kashmir struggle). Residents reported that the shuttered school building had been partly occupied by militants but the home belonged to a local tribesman, Yousaf Khan Wazir, who had no ties to the militants. He too was killed in the U.S. missile attack.
